Apple Crisp (the better version)

I like this version much better than my old one, but I'll leave the old one in case someone likes it better or you are desperate for apple crisp and don't have everything to make this new one.  I got it from a Relief Society dinner. (That doesn't happen very often because I think there's too many people who don't cook anymore so the food is never as good as it used to be).

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps

I found this recipe when I was in a frantic search for a really good appetizer for Sharon Worlton's granddaughter's wedding reception.  I got this off Paula Deen's website and it turned out to be a dandy.  The thing I've found with this is don't make your chicken pieces bigger than just a bite, which means you'll need to cut the bacon into thirds and don't use thick bacon.

Twice Baked Potato Casserole (YSA for about 75 or so)

For this many people I usually put this with 3 large hams, fancy green beans, and different types of rolls.

Spinach, Broccoli, and Ham Casserole

This is another one of those Paula Deen recipes out of my magazine.  I made it one night when Genevieve was spending the night and she said it was very yummy (although she picked out the spinach). Geoffrey, Dad, and I also liked it a lot too.  I say any recipe one of the kids likes has got to be a keeper.  It's also pretty fast and easy.  I think it would be just as good made with chicken too.

Red Beans and Rice Soup

Yes, another one from Paula.  What can I say...she and I see pretty much eye to eye on what is good.  This one is pretty darn good and fast to make and it's not too bad calorie wise.  I used turkey bacon and brown rice to make it a little better for you.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup

I found this recipe from one of my Taste of Home magazines.  I changed it a bit cause I don't like soupy soups.  I like soups with a lot of stuff in them, so if you want a thinner soup, reduced the veggies, chicken and wild rice a bit and you'll have a soup you can almost drink - not my choice of a good soup.  If you like hearty, keep it the way I've made it and you'll be most happy.
