This is my award winning (church chili cookoffs) recipe. It's quick and easy.
Serves: 6
1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. minced jalepeno peppers (the kind in a jar)
1 heaping tsp. minced garlic
1 small can green chilies
2 cans beans, drained (pinto, kidney, black, whatever)
1 (15 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can petite diced or reg. diced tomatoes
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
Cook hamburger, onion, garlic. Drain if necessary. Add remaining ingredients and let simmer for about 30 min. Serve with grated cheese.
