I got this from Taste of Home
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
1 Tblsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Grease 10-inch fluted pan with shortening; lightly coat with flour. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the sugars, oil, buttermilk, eggs and extracts until well blended. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves and baking soda; gradually beat into the sugar mixture until blended. Stir in pecans.
Transfer to prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 (I did 53) min. or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 min. before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
