My Spaghetti Sauce

This is the recipe I made up and have used for years.
Serves: about 10-12


2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1-16 oz. package mushrooms, sliced
1 heaping Tblsp. minced garlic
3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
3 small cans tomato paste
3 (15 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
1 Tblsp. sugar
1 Tblsp. salt
1 Tblsp. Italian seasoning
1 Tblsp. basil
1 Tblsp. parsley
2 tsp. fennel
2 tsp. oregano
3 bay leaves

Cook sausage, onion, bell pepper, and garlic till veggies are crisp tender. Add mushrooms and cook. Add remaining ingredients. This does well in a crockpot on low for 8 hours or on the stove top in a Dutch oven pot for an hour.
