I got this from my friend, Michelle Jones in Ill. This is a great
Christmas or Thanksgiving punch.
4 c. fresh, whole cranberries
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice (not concentrate)
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 c. cold water
Rinse cranberries under cold water, put in a large saucepan with 2 c. water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until berries pop their skins. While berries are cooking, put remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
When berries are done, pour juice and berries through a fine strainer. Stir berries in strainer, forcing cranberry pulp through, until only skins/seeds remain. Discard skins/seeds. Stir juices, etc. well. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan, or other suitable container (I use large freezer ziplock bags) and freeze until firm...usually takes overnight.
A few minutes before serving, remove from freezer to soften it up a bit. Slush with a fork, fill cups or glasses 1/3 to 1/2 full and pour 7-up or Sprite (I use diet) over it. Stir and enjoy.
