Erin once ate almost an entire batch so I really call this Erin's beans. Everyone calls this chili, but it's not, although I should make it for the next chili cookoff and see how I do cause these are the yummiest beans ever!! The YA's slurped them down.
1 lb. Lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
½ cup celery, chopped
1 (15-oz.) Can pork and beans, undrained or baked beans
3 (15-oz.) Can assorted beans like kidney, pinto, black, and great northern...drained and rinsed
¼ cup brown sugar
1/8 cup molasses
1 Tbls. Prepared mustard
1 (8-oz.) Can tomato sauce
1 Tbls. Liquid Smoke
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef, onion and celery. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients. Place in a saucepan on low heat. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 1 hour. Stir several times.
Crock Pot Variation: Brown the beef, onion and celery. Add all ingredients to crock pot and cook on low setting for 3-4 hours.
