This is one of my favorites. I got this one from the 39th ward cookbook
Serves: 10 but recipe can be halved
3 lb. Chuck roast, cubed with fat cut off
½ pkg. Onion soup
2 cans golden cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms undrained
Combine all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on high for at least 6 hours or so. Can also be cooked in the oven at 300 degrees for about 4 hours (till tender).
Serve over rice.
(3 cup rice cooked in 6 cup water or chicken broth for more flavor)
